General Instructions

Alumni engagement is a crucial aspect of higher education institutions, fostering lasting connections between former students and their alma mater. Here are some general instructions for alumni engagement in degree colleges: Alumni actively contribute to their college’s growth by participating in various ways, such as mentoring, financial support, and policy-level involvement. They bridge the academic and professional realms, enriching the college community. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes alumni engagement as pivotal for quality improvement in higher education. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the UGC urges universities to prioritize alumni engagement. The directive encourages colleges to establish dedicated alumni-relations wings and formal associations
