Central Library

The college has a well-equipped library with more than 60000 textbooks, encyclopedias, manuscripts, and reference books. It has a regular supply of several Journals, e-journals, periodicals and newspapers. The central library is equipped with a 60-seated ICT enabled "Swami Vivekanand Reading Room" open for students. Research scholars, faculty members and staff can utilize a Research- Reading room with continuous internet facilities for research and professional development point of view.

Research Reading Room with ICT Facilities

The college realizes the importance of integrating ICT facilities in teaching and learning. To motivate researchers to explore, learn, and excel in their academic performance, the college has a Research Reading room that provides access to computers, printers, and scanners to enable students and teachers to research, analyze and perform high-quality research work. The reading room is facilitated with research journals in all disciplines (online as well as offline).

Auditoriums/ Seminar Halls

Seminar halls provide a meeting ground for students and academicians, researchers, scholars, etc. of the institution and other institutions. It is a space for augmentation of ideas, knowledge, creativity and talents. There are two airy, spacious and well-furnished (with a seating capacity of 120) Seminar Halls in the college, used for all types of formal programmes like seminars, lectures, cultural performances, meetings, competitions etc. Swami Dayanand Seminar hall in the Bagiya Parisar of the college is also equipped with ICT facilities like a projector, audio-visual aids and amplifiers, etc. to make project presentations, to conduct interactive sessions, and guest lectures. Maths Seminar Hall is also situated in Bagiya Parisar to conduct various student-related activities.

Well-equipped Laboratories

Well-equipped laboratories play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience of students to allow them to study and experiment with substances in a controlled environment. These state-of-the-art facilities provide practical training and hands-on experience across various disciplines. The college provides well-equipped laboratories in all disciplines of Faculty of Science viz. Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Some discipline of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences are also available well-equipped laboratory facilities viz. Defence & Strategic Studies, Geography, Music (vocal), Music Instrumental (Tabla), Physical Education, Psychology. well-equipped laboratory facilities are also available in the Faculty of Techer Education (B.Ed. & M.Ed.)

Wi-Fi Connections

Wi-Fi is very useful for establishing internet connection among multiple devices. The availability of Wi-Fi is important in the campus as it provides ubiquitous access to the internet, enhancing teaching and learning experiences. High-speed internet connectivity ensures that staff members and students can access online resources, offer very high data transfer and communicate quickly, efficiently and effectively. To fulfill this purpose, all the departments are made equipped with Wi-Fi facilities in the college.

In Dayanand Vedic College, faculty members use a variety of ICT-enabled tools to enhance the teaching-learning process. Here are some of the tools employed:

Well-ventilated Classrooms

The college offers spacious, airy and well-lit classrooms where teaching faculties can conduct lectures to interact with students effectively. To ensure a healthy and comfortable environment for students and teachers, clean and fresh air along with proper light is maintained in all the classrooms and laboratories through adequate windows and ventilators.

Sports

Dayanand Vedic College, a pioneer in the field of sports in whole of the district, provides quite a spacious playground to manage various sports and other activities. The Physical Education Department of the college uses the playground for its regular sports activities and competitions. For recreation and physical fitness, staff members as well as students have access to indoor and outdoor sports facilities available in the college. Multiple types of equipment are available to facilitate many sports and games. Students are encouraged to showcase their talent in various level competitions through regular training. The college under the supervision of Sports Committee offers facilities for outdoor games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Athletics, Football and Volleyball even at night and for indoor games like Table tennis, Badminton, Weightlifting etc. Girl students are specifically motivated to participate in the sports at university and state level through special counselling/ guidance.

Remedial Classes

The college arranges remedial classes for slow learners help them from falling behind and from developing a "failure" mindset. The students who need more support in core subjects, they are admitted to remedial classes to fulfill the Learning Gaps without disturbing the regular classes. These classes focus on addressing individual learning needs, helping students overcome challenges, and catching up with their peers. Remedial classes is meant to improve both the learners' learning and teachers' teaching as it is the process of identifying slow learners and improving their ability and it also helps teachers to modify their teaching methodology as per learner.
The college also plans to arrange classes for the preparation of Competitive exams which work as the catalyst for academic excellence and career development. Beyond academic proficiency, these exams nurture essential skills, instill confidence, and shape students into well-rounded individuals poised for success in the competitive world.

Health & First aid

The college provides health care facilities to the students by providing first aid and other basic health facilities as and when required. The immediate assistance is given to any person with either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, to prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery until medical services, if needed, arrive. The Institutes arranges Yoga Camps, lectures related to physical and mental health, Disease-awareness Programmes and Blood Donation Camps etc. time to time to make them aware about their fitness.

IGNOU Centre

Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi is a fully recognized central government university and is accredited by NAAC, approved by AICTE and recognized by UGC. It has established its Study and Examination Centre (27188) in the college to run distant education courses specially designed for students. After Completing their education students can get benefits by accelerating their educational progress through IGNOU courses. There is no admission fee for SC/ ST students for admission in B.A., B. Com. B. Sc. B.T.S. (Tourism) and B.S.W. (social work).

Girls Common Room

To facilitate our female students to relax, study and have informal discussions in the available free time, the college has established a spacious and comfortable common room, within the main building. The room is properly ventilated, well-lit, neat and clean and is equipped with a drinking water facility and an attached washroom. The college administration plans to build a few 'pink toilets' in the main campus for girls soon in the future.

Student Safety - CCTV Camera, Ramp, Wheelchair, Fire Protection System

The college takes all necessary initiatives for the physical safety of its students and staff. CCTV installation in and around the college campus ensures the well-being of students, specially of girls students, allowing them to wander under the safe watch of campus security cameras. CCTV cameras serve as a visual deterrent to indiscipline acts such as ragging, bullying, quarrelling , vandalism of property etc.
Automatic sprinkler systems and Portable fire extinguishers are installed in Departments and campus as per The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
The college has special facility of Ramps and rails with wheelchairs for differently-abled students.

On-Campus Bank Facility

The college has an extension branch of the Indian Bank in the college premises. It serves the banking facilities to the students and the faculty members. It also manages the transactions of the college's account. Students can access the bank facility such as fee payments, account management, and scholarship disbursements.

Post Office

The college has a sub-post office of Indian Post Office in its campus which provides postal and banking services to students, staff and others. It serves all standard postal needs, including the sending and receiving of letters, parcels, and packages. It likely offers registered and speed post services, ensuring secure and timely delivery of mail.

Waste Management System

Reducing waste on college campus is essential to protect the environment, create educational opportunities, engage community and comply with regulations and make students a responsible citizen. Special care is taken for the segregation and disposal of different types of waste generated on the college campus. Proper arrangement of disposal of solid waste, e-waste etc. has been made to ensure the environmental sustainability. A lot of Environment Awareness Initiatives/ Programmes are also arranged time to time to make students aware about environment preservation.
The institute is a 'No Plastic Zone' as plastic in any form is not allowed inside the campus.

RO and Water Coolers

Committed to student and faculty well being, the college facilitates pure Reverse Osmosis ( RO) drinking water with Water Coolers to cater to the need of pure and safe drinking water. RO and water coolers are strategically installed in the college campus to provide easy access of clean drinking water. Proper maintenance, frequent cleaning and regular testing of ROs, water coolers and water tanks ensure the quality of the drinking water.

Vehicle Parking Space

The college provides vehicle parking area that is equipped with shading structures to protect vehicles from the elements. This shaded parking is designed to accommodate the vehicles for both students and faculty members. To maintain order and safety within these parking spaces, the college has implemented a set of rules and regulations that all individuals must follow when utilizing the parking services. The parking lots are regularly monitored by the parking attendant for the security and safety of vehicles. The parking place is free of cost for the students and staff members. All vehicles brought inside the college are required to have all the relevant documents at the time of parking.

Pink Box

A pink box has been installed by the police department in Dayanand Vedic College, Orai, to prevent sexual abuse and harassment of girl students. Its main purpose is to encourage girl students to report any unpleasant incident in the college and to provide justice to the victim. This will promote a safe campus culture in the college.

Complain/Suggestion Box

The college has a suggestion box which enables the students to provide their feedback and suggestions and improves communication between the college management and students. All the suggestions are thoroughly looked up and implemented where required
