The library of Dayanand Vedic College has a collection of more than 60,000 Text/ Reference books, Journals, Periodicals, Manuscripts, Magazines and other reading materials related to a wide range of subjects. It serves its noble purpose enthusiastically by organizing them, preserving them and disseminating the information to its users. It provides various sources of information for reading in its premises which include ICT enabled Swami Vivekanand Reading Room and Research Room along with borrowing books for home to the students. The whole library staff in coordination with Library Committee work very hard for organizing and maintaining its collection and catering its users' services,.

E-Journals/E-Books

E-Book/E-Journal is short for electronic book/ electronic journal which means a book/ a journal is made available in digital form or online. In a computer file, one will find text, images, and other graphic elements like tables that can be read on a computer/ mobile phone's flat screen. Most e-books/ e-journals are simply digitized versions of the print version. Unlike traditional print books, e-books can be easily created, distributed, and accessed across a myriad of devices, from e-readers and tablets to smartphones and computers.

Journals

Research Journals provide a source of useful information and knowledge which can be easily accessed by the students and researchers. Like a lab notebook for bench research, the research journal keeps in one place all the thoughts, ideas, questions etc., about one's scholarly project, over the course of the project. Dayanand Vedic College library has a rich collection of journals in various streams.

Manuscripts

A manuscript is a handwritten composition on various materials such as paper, bark, cloth, metal, or palm leaf. These documents date back at least seventy-five years and hold significant scientific, historical, or aesthetic value. Notably, lithographs and printed volumes are not considered manuscripts1. Throughout history, manuscripts have played a pivotal role in transmitting knowledge, literature, religious texts, scientific discoveries, and personal writings. They provide insights into the intellectual, cultural, and artistic achievements of civilizations across different ages. The term “manuscript” derives from the Latin words “manūscriptum,” which means “written by hand”

Newspapers

The newspaper is an important publication that helps people know what is happening around them by bringing the views of great thinkers and philosophers. It moulds and reflects public opinion. A regular reader of newspapers can acquire a lot of knowledge about public affairs. Beyond academic benefits, it equips them with critical thinking skills, a global perspective , and the ability to navigate the vast sea of information. Periodical Magazines

A periodical is anything that comes out periodically whether a magazine, a newspaper or a journal. These periodicals may come out daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually but new issues are released on a fixed schedule. The college library is equipped with a nice number of periodical magazines for the enhancement of knowledge for its readers.
