About the Department:
The department came into being on 13 June, 1966. Dr. Jagdamba Prasad Srivastava (1963-1996), an academician was the Founder Head. The department developed under the best intellect and devotion of In-Charge of the department Dr. Y. K. Kulshrestha (1996–2007), Dr. S.K. Srivastava (2007–2010) and Dr. Aram Singh (2011-2021).
Dr. Angad Singh Kushwaha is the present Incharge of the department who joined the college on 23 March, 2019. He secured his M.Sc. from University of Lucknow and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Moreover, he also has qualified the CSIR-NET-JRF and GATE.
At present, two faculties are working and one post is vacant.

To organize and sustain efficient operating systems in the Department for realization of our objectives as Institution of eminence and International standards.
To develop strategy in the Department for continuous Improvement.
The physics department is committed to impart quality education both in theoretical as well as experimental physics with special emphasis on ‘learning by doing’ for socio-economic growth.
